The movie Rashtra Kavach Om is the latest addition to action films in Bollywood. Narrating the story of a hero with a fierce sense of patriotism pursuing the wicked enemies of the state while being aided by devoted friends and family. The film was originally intended to be titled Om: The Battle Within, but the name was changed to Rashtra Kavach Om due to legal concerns with the title rights. Aditya Roy Kapur plays Om, a man full of machismo and ammunition. Om is at the heart of a bungled clandestine mission of getting the Kavach back in safe hands and protecting the nation.

- Aditya Roy Kapur
Aditya portrays Om, a paramilitary commando who is raised by his uncle Jai Rathore, an army officer. He grows up to become an exceptional paramilitary commando who fights off several vicious soldiers by himself. In addition to defending his country, Om has a lot more to do, such as where to find his father, Dev Rathod and prove that he was not a traitor.
- Sanjana Sanghi
Sanjana portrays the role of Kavya Sharma. She will be in a pairing with Kapur. In the movie, the actress portrays an agent and will be a part of intense action sequences. Kavya is Om’s biggest supporter and never loses hope in him, even when things look grim. Aditya and Sanjana also share an onscreen romantic scene in the movie. The duo perform a beautiful romantic number in the love song “Saasein Dene Aana.”

The role of Murthy is played by the veteran south Indian actor. He is a senior officer under whom Om is appointed on the mission of bringing back the Rashtra Kavach to the country.
- Jackie Shroff
Dev Rathore, the nuclear scientist played by Jackie, creates a nuclear shield or kavach that can thwart any nuclear attack. His cameo role is revealed to be that of Om’s father, who is deemed a traitor and goes missing, leaving behind his only son Om.
- Ashutosh Rana
Rana plays the role of Dev’s brother, Jai Rathore. In the absence of Dev, he adopts Om and raises him as his son. He has a strong character in the movie and communicates with his eyes, body language, and dialog delivery.
